Peter is a composer and performer based in Seattle, Washington. Projects, past and present, include Jean Chalant, ASHLEY, The Christmas Cards, and Poor Moon (Sub Pop/Bella Union).

Together with Ian Murray (Butch Bastard), Peter founded Highland Studios, a multi-disciplinary music production company that creates music for film, television, video games, advertising, and more.

Peter greets each day with the attainment of one goal in mind - to achieve a state of musical ecstasy.

Whether chipping away at any one of multiple recording projects, guiding a student through The Beatles catalog, readying for a performance, studying a symphonic score, or generally indulging in whatever opportunity for musical expansion presents itself, most every waking moment is directed to that end.

 

In relentless pursuit of perfect tone and ultimate feeling, Peter moves easily from one compositional idiom to the next. In handling all subjects heavy to light, each note is given vital importance; every project approached with total respect.
